Fighting evil by moonlight.

Sailor Venus

So, I have this huge obsession with Sailor Moon. I grew up watching this television show and although bits and pieces are still a little blurry, I just remember standing in front of the TV with my hairbrush pretending I can transform into one of them.

... Yeah. Obviously it didn't work.

Anyways, up until this day, I've always loved Sailor Venus and the mysterious Tuxedo Mask (yeah. I know. He's not real.) So when I watched the reboot on Hulu this morning, I freaked. I more than freaked. I wanted to bust out the same exact hairbrush I used when I was a kid. I can't say I'm a HUGE, SUPER FAN and take part in cosplay during conventions but I'm slowly learning the background of Sailor Moon all over again.

Please tell me I'm not the only one excited about this. Now I have to wait until July 15 for the next episode.

Typical 4th of July post.

Taylor Swift vs. Miley Cyrus

Okay, let's be real. There are two kinds of people in this world. People who dress like Taylor Swift on 4th of July or people who dress like Miley Cyrus.

I'm not hating on either but I'd go with the first. I'm a fan of both but my body just cannnnnot rock outfits like Miley Cyrus as much as I'd like. I was laughing as a I was scrolling on my Twitter feed last night with everyone's assumption of how girls would be dressing today. The biggest winner was high waisted shorts and bandeaus, haha.

After seeing all of that, I was inspired to make a super simple Polyvore set. Knowing me, if I do decide to stop binge watching American Horror Story and have a life, I'll most likely wear something very closely to the outfit on the right.

4th of July

Anyone have any major plans? Or, are you not into the whole fireworks craze and screaming "'Murica!" at the top of your lungs?

I'm pooped. Or, was pooped.

On Wednesday, my friend and I did a day trip to LA from the Bay Area for a job interview. It was the biggest "yolo" thing I've done this summer but it was fun. We seriously left at midnight, got there around 5 am, and then drove back at 1 pm. I mean, I had to make it in time for the Ashanti concert.

I think it's just so surreal knowing here I am searching and applying for a career. You know? When I was younger, I always thought this moment would come much later. Yeah. Nope. It hit me in the face way too fast. This means I have to get married soon. .... loljk.

As for the Ashanti concert, it was so good listening to her sing the songs I grew up to. She still got it. I never once thought I would ever see her in concert nor did I know she was STILL making music. (Guilty) But, after what I heard at the concert, I'll be checking out the rest of her album on Spotify. The feels, man. The feels.

It was crazy knowing that at one point of the day, I was in LA. Next thing you know, I'm back in the Bay Area. Car seats are never comfortable and it sucks when you don't have an aux cord so you have to rely on changing the CD when you're done listening to it. After the fifteenth time.
