Life is fleeting. And if you're ever distressed, cast your eyes to the summer sky when the stars are strung across the velvety night...

I really never care THIS much about a celebrity's death, even one I've never met but this one hits close to home. Like so many others, I grew up watching movies Robin Williams starred in. Jumanji, Aladdin, Mrs. Doubtfire, Birdcage and most especially Jack

My eyes and ears literally cannot be taken away from the television screen. When I found out, I was scrolling through Twitter and the first thing I did was scream, "NO!" For some reason, I forget that people pass away. I always think we'll live forever. Positive thinking, I guess. For two days straight, I sat in front of the television watching the specials and all the newscasts that have anything to do with Robin Williams. He really was like everyone's favorite uncle. I cannot think of one person who absolutely hated him. If you're out there, I just need to ask, why?!

It's so weird to know that he was literally thirty minutes or so away from me. He loved the Bay Area. A man that brought laughter to so many people was in our own backyard. What an honor. He was able to do something for all of us that made him seem like everyone did know him. It pains me to know that we couldn't be there for him in his times of need. He masked his suffering so well yet he always was able to bring happiness for everyone else. I'm gutted.

It upsets me when people say, "You're only caring so much now since he died." Well, look. I didn't go around confessing my love for Robin Williams. I just knew it. It didn't have to be said out loud so get out of here with that type of thinking.

Lately, I've been thinking about what I would have done if I ever met Robin. I probably would have given him the longest hug in the history of hugs and just thank him for everything. Maybe, I'd be too overwhelmed. Maybe, I'd have the best conversation in the world with him. One that never made sense. What I do know for sure is that it would have been the highlight of my life.

Rest in Peace, Robin Williams.

COMPLETE SIDEBAR: I saw so much of the same characteristics he had in my own dad. It's crazy how much I think they're so alike. The next person I would dread to see pass away is Jackie Chan. I always saw Jackie Chan + Robin Williams = my dad.

I'm pooped. Or, was pooped.

On Wednesday, my friend and I did a day trip to LA from the Bay Area for a job interview. It was the biggest "yolo" thing I've done this summer but it was fun. We seriously left at midnight, got there around 5 am, and then drove back at 1 pm. I mean, I had to make it in time for the Ashanti concert.

I think it's just so surreal knowing here I am searching and applying for a career. You know? When I was younger, I always thought this moment would come much later. Yeah. Nope. It hit me in the face way too fast. This means I have to get married soon. .... loljk.

As for the Ashanti concert, it was so good listening to her sing the songs I grew up to. She still got it. I never once thought I would ever see her in concert nor did I know she was STILL making music. (Guilty) But, after what I heard at the concert, I'll be checking out the rest of her album on Spotify. The feels, man. The feels.

It was crazy knowing that at one point of the day, I was in LA. Next thing you know, I'm back in the Bay Area. Car seats are never comfortable and it sucks when you don't have an aux cord so you have to rely on changing the CD when you're done listening to it. After the fifteenth time.

Happy Pride Weekend!

Living in the Bay Area, you're used to the madness of what is known as "Pride Weekend." This will be my first year attending the parade and I'm so excited. I think I figured out my outfit but I'm still debating if I should wear my black Converse Chuck Taylors or those boots. Eh, I never figure out until about .05 seconds before running out the door.

However, my outfit will be completely boring compared to all the others who I know will be dressing up or not dressing up at all...

Meet Maxi (Maximillion, Maxipad, Maxi Shadow).

I can't believe I'm only now putting him on my blog. This is the love of my life. He tends to step into every photo I try to take but never looks directly at the camera when I call his name. Basically... He's a diva.

I should rest up for the pride parade. I'm set on trying to find Ross Matthews if it's the last thing I do tomorrow.

So, where have you been.....

Ha. Yup. It happened. It just so happened that I got caught up in school and didn't have time to blog (which always happens)! But, hey. Last semester was crazy busy since I happened to be part of my school's journalism news program so I literally had no time to do anything including hanging out with my friends.

However, it's a new year. New semester. Last semester of being in college. YIKES.

I'm not ready to graduate. I'm not ready to do anything. I'm still a lazy kid. People actually want me to do something with my life?

I wasn't all that lame last semester. I actually picked up a gig thanks to my advanced multimedia class and got to "go behind the scenes" with some local bands. Reminder: I'm a NorCal girl. The bay. So I featured mostly Bay Area bands and they were awesome. I'm considering picking this up as a full-time thing. You know. When I get an actual good camera that I can call my own without borrowing a friend's.

Here's an example of a band I interviewed with my friend. They're called KWeekend:

Whatya think?
